　Our renovated old Japanese style house which was a tea farm provides you with clean, comfortable, and nostalgic atmosphere.

　Relax and take your time as if you would come back to your home, as if you had been living this satoyama area for a long time.

　We have 2 basic plans and seasonal plans.

　Since we are farm-inn style accommodation, please kindly note that guests would be supposed to join in cooking as an experience.

　Let's cook and eat Kakegawa, Shizuoka homemade cuisine together. We use seasonal and local products for cooking.

　Our main dish is Japanese yam soup, the specialty of Kakegawa. We use Japanese yam made in Kurami for the soup.Try it with broth of mackerel and miso-broth of dried bonito, shiitake mushroom.

　Try and experience the taste of Kakegawa.

　Grilled dried fish will be served at breakfast. The fish is from Mochimune port in Suruga bay which inshore fish are gathered.

※The tea harvetsing activity can be unavailable depending on the growth of the tea.

　Magnificent tea plantations with traditional tea-grass integrated system which are classified as World agricultural heritage. It takes only 5-20 minutes from our accommodation.

　We can see the most beautiful landscape from end of April to May, and activity relating to Japanese tea is available this season.

　After then, second tea-crop season comes in June, third tea-crop season comes from middle of July to beginning of August, and we harvest last autumn new tea from end of September to middle of October. We have 4 terms to harvest Japanese tea through the year. Activities relating to Japanese tea are available in those seasons, and you can feel and experience extraordinary situation which you will never have in your country.

　Tea factory tour is also available in those seasons. Feel the flavor of the tea and find how Japanese tea are produced!

　Tempura of tea leaves would be served at dinner of the day. You can't taste it other places!

　Spring, feel the season of tender green with listening to songs of birds. The forests make you cool down in hot summer. Leaves are colored and forest feeds animals with nuts in autumn. Winter forest gives us clear air.

　After taking a walk in forest, just relax in Kurami Akashi Onsen. This 100% pure hot spring contains sulfur and carbonated spring. The color of the spring changes many times in a day.

　Awagatake is a mountain which has an altitude of 532m, about 10 minutes by car from our accommodation. You can find a Chinese character "茶" (means tea) in the middle of it. Beautiful tea plantation scenery is at the foot of the mountain.

　Hiking in this mountain is recommended! It takes about 2 hours from the middle of it to the top and if you are lucky, you can meet a serow.

　From top of the mountain, you can clearly see Mt.Fuji. At the top, you have a resting point, cherry blossoms, and Awawa shrine are there. Also spiritual stones with ancient myth are remarkable. You will feel the spiritual power of it.

　Another site is Totoumi Ichimiya Kotonomama Hachimangu. It takes 15 minutes walking from our accommodation. The shrine is popular among Japanese girls for its power to give them a romantic fate.

　Plan that you have a chance to get spiritual power from those sites.

　Nissaka-shuku, the 25th stages of the old‐time fifty‐three stages on the Tokaido highway, get crowded in autumn festival season. Characteristic festival cars of Totoumi region walks around Kotonomama Hachimangu and Nissaka-shuku with playing the traditional music.

　Since the shrine is closed to our accommodation, you can go and see them whenever you want.

　Also, this season you can see huge tea plantations which are just before the harvesting. Scenery of huge amount of tea sprout is magnificent.

　You can try taste of autumn such as chestnuts and potato in this season!

　Taste the autumn food which you get in chestnuts-hunting！

※The activity will be unavailable depending on the growth speed of chestnuts and ginkgo nuts.

　North area of Kakegawa produces good chestnuts. The first chestnuts of the year are usually delivered to local market in the end of August. This is the plan that you can experience chestnuts/ginkgo nuts hunting with veteran farmer.

　Since the farmer teach you how to do it kindly, it doesn't matter you have no experience of doing this kind of thing. Though we prepare gloves for you, be careful for the needle of chestnuts!!

　The chestnuts you pick in the activity will be served in dinner with other autumn ingredients!

　This is a plan that you can taste and experience Japanese autumn.
